MARRIAGE

This is the dictionary's definition of marriage and this is my definition of marriage......
Main Entry: mar·riage Pronunciation: \ˈmer-ij, ˈma-rij\Function: noun Etymology: Middle English mariage, from Anglo-French, from marier to marryDate: 14th century1 a (1) : the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law (2) : the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage b : the mutual relation of married persons : wedlock c : the institution whereby individuals are joined in a marriage2 : an act of marrying or the rite by which the married status is effected; especially : the wedding ceremony and attendant festivities or formalities
Although that is true my definition of marriage is a totally different. I believe when you are married you have true love and happiness you also have your bad times but you stick it out no matter what because you love 1 another. When you find someone that you love and your emotions are high and you just know that you want to spend the rest of your life with them marriage is the greatest thing in the world and takes dedication. The bible speaks on marriage a lot it says how you shall you respect your husband and you shall respect your wife that is a very big part of marriage and relationships that people really miss to see because it really goes a long way.I really believe all the money all the fame and everything is not important at all if you have one that you truly love and would do anything for better or for worst.Time and dedication are very big points to hit in a marriage and it takes a lot to be able to settle down. once you become a married man or woman many things have to change in your life because what you do from that point on doesn't just effect you it effect both parties. people now get married for all the wrong reason and that is why you see so many divorced couples and i refuse to be one of them. I really do love my wife and a lot of times may be rough especially with me being in Iraq but we have made it through 8 months so far and still going. The bible also says that the only accepted reason for divorce is adultery any other reason in gods eyes is a sin. In Romans 6:7 verses 1-4 it reads- Since I am speaking to those who understand law, brothers, are you unaware that the law has authority over someone as long as he lives? For example, a married woman is legally bound to her husband while he lives. But if her husband dies, she is released from the law regarding the husband. So then, if she gives herself to another man while her husband is still living, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law. The, if she gives herself to another man she is not an adulteress. Point being marriage is a very serious thing that takes time, love, respect, care, and dedication and i know that i will give all of those things to Glenesse David-Nick for the rest of my life
